This original monotype print is sold as READY TO FRAME, with a mat and foam core backing board - total size 11" x 14". The opening and the actual size of the artwork is 8" x 10".
Love is blind - at least till it lasts. This print was inspired by a passionately kissing young couple at an airport; she had a striking blonde hair while his head was covered by large blue hat. They were totally oblivious to their surroundings.
I like chine-colle unique technique of printmaking, because it enhances the color and texture of my artwork, and it creates some interesting and unusual effects. I usually start with non-toxic ink monotype print and then, as chine colle indicates, incorporate to the surface of the print interesting elements: drawing, lightweight rice papers, tissue or handmade papers.
