A monotype print is a one of a kind fine art print that is hand pulled on an etching press and printed onto archival quality fine art paper. Most of my prints are made of non-toxic inks. After monotype is printed, it can be further developed by drawing or painting on it with some compatible materials. I often use ink, oil pastels, acrylic or watercolors to enhance my monotype prints. Chine-colle is a unique technique of printmaking. It enhances the color and texture of monotypes and prints while creating some unusual effects by incorporating interesting elements to the surface. Lightweight rice papers, color tissues, handmade papers and imprints are some of the materials I use which help me to achieve exciting results.
